Overview

The Twin Commander 900 is ordinarily configured to seat seven passengers in addition to the pilot, including one in the flight deck right seat. The lavatory is located at the aft cabin position.The Commander 900 is equipped with two Honeywell TPE-331-5-254K turboprop engines with an integral gearbox, a two stage centrifugal compressor, a three stage axial turbine, single annular combustion chamber, producing 738 shp each. The inspection interval on the engine is 5,400 hours. Many aircraft have been converted to the TPE 331-10 engines with a TBO of 5400 hrs. The -10 engines provides greater torque to improve climb and cruise performance.
