Cessna offered standard six, eight and ten-passenger configurations for the cabin in the Citation II and II SP. Maximum cabin height is 4.8 ft., cabin width is 4.9 ft.and length is 16ft for a total cabin volume of 263 cubic feet. The Citation II and II SP offer passengers a marginally quieter ride than earlier Citations due in part to the relocation of the engines further aft. The Citation II SP is powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney of Canada JT15D-4 turbofans rated at 2,500 lbs. thrust each, with an inspection interval of 3,500 hours.
