Overview

The G-V was redesignated G500 in 2003. The Gulfstream 500 is optimized for ultra long-range intercontinental travel. While it can easily accommodate 19 passengers, it is typically configured for eight to ten passengers in an arrangement that includes such amenities as a full lavatory with shower, a conference/dining room, and/or multiple work stations, and a crew rest area for flights possibly lasting longer than 14 hours. The G500 is powered by 2 RR BR700-710-C4-11 medium bypass ratio turbofans each rated at 15,385 pounds of thrust each. Inspection interval on the engines is "on condition".
